How to grow Pyracantha?

Pyracantha planting methods are as follows:

1. Land selection: Pyracantha is a tropical plant that likes warm and sunny areas. Pyracantha has strong cold resistance and can survive at -16 ℃ can still grow normally and survive the winter safely. You should choose a fertile place with deep, loose soil and rich organic matter for planting.

2. Sowing: Spread the seeds and fine sand evenly on the seedbed prepared before winter, cover it with fine soil so that no seeds are visible, cover the seedbed with straw, and pour enough water. Pyracantha is suitable for sowing in the second spring. Before sowing, the seeds can be treated with gibberellin at a concentration of 2/10000.

3. Water and fertilizer: Pyracantha is resistant to drought. Water fertilizer once before blooming, and fill it with enough water to allow Pyracantha to get sufficient water. If the flowering period is during the rainy season, pay attention to digging ditches and drainage to prevent the plants from falling due to excessive water. After the fruits are mature and harvested, sufficient winter water should be poured before entering winter dormancy.

4. Shaping: In the natural state of Pyracantha, the crown is messy and irregular, and the inner branches are often slender due to insufficient light and have poor strength. In order to promote growth and fruiting, the overgrown branches and branches must be trimmed every year. Prune thin branches and overly dense branches to facilitate ventilation and light transmission and promote the growth of new shoots.
