The world-famous Shanwang paleontological fossils in Shanwang National Geopark are produced here. According to experts' research, more than 600 genera and species of plant fossils 12 have been found in the east of Shanwang Village and south of Xiejiahe Village, which is known as the "fossil treasure house". Shanwang paleontological fossils were formed 654.38+0.8 billion years ago, which is the largest in the world and a national key nature reserve. Friends, experts and scholars at home and abroad often come here to visit. The state has invested in the construction of the fossil exhibition hall and Shanwang Lake, and the original appearance of Shanwang paleontology is reproduced with living and plastic specimens. Shanwang National Geopark has attracted tourists from home and abroad for investigation and sightseeing.

1in the spring of 935, Yang, the founder of vertebrate zoology in China, found well-preserved fish, flower insect tadpoles and plant fossils in the shale exposed on the west bank of the river, completed the investigation report of Shanwang, wrote a research paper on frogs and fish fossils, and published it in the annals of geological society of china. Since then, Shanwang has been widely known for its rich fine fossils, and has become a Miocene classic stratigraphic section in China, known as the "thousands of books". Among them, the fossils of Shanwang bird and deer, rhinoceros and oriental ancestor bear are the most precious.

1978 established the provincial Shanwang Fossil Nature Reserve, 1982 established the Shanwang National Paleontological Fossil Reserve in Linqu, Shandong Province, 1985 established the Shanwang Fossil Museum in Linqu, 1999 Shanwang Fossil Museum was designated as the National Geological Heritage Reserve, in 2006.

Shanwang Fossil Museum has a building area of 3,600 square meters, an exhibition area of 9 16 square meters, an exhibition line of 204 meters and more than 600 specimens. A nearly hornless rhinoceros skeleton in labor is the treasure of the town hall, and the teeth and limbs of the baby rhinoceros in the belly of the mother rhinoceros are clearly visible. Shanwang section 1 was built by digging a pit around Yaoshan, with a length of 1.60m and a height of 25m. It is divided into three steps and four facades, displaying paleontological fossil specimens and Shanwang sedimentary strata. Diatomite deposits and complete rhinoceros bones can be clearly seen on the excavation face.

Yaoshan Culture Yaoshan is located 3 kilometers east of Shanglin Town Government Resident. According to legend, Yao once visited this mountain in those days, and saw the mountains surrounded by green trees, flowing clear springs, magical stone buildings in the mountains, natural stone moons, lifelike mountain king fossils and other landscapes, lingering and admiring the "fairy mountain of true self". Later it was named Yaoshan. "Three" has "Yaoshan is ten miles west of Guangzhou, which is the place where Yao toured and made his maiden voyage, hence the name. There is a temple on the top of the mountain. Yaoshan Mountain is 405.5 meters above sea level, with a herringbone shape in the south and north, belonging to the branch of Yishan Mountain. The top of the mountain is flat and large, and the surrounding mountains are steep. There are eight major landscapes, including Shiyue, Shilou, Shizhu, sarcophagus, Shibei, Leishi, Maziwang and Shanwang fossils. There is a site of Wang Yao Temple in the south corner of Shaanxi Province. Scholars and poets of all ages have been to Yaoshan and written many poems.

Yaoshan is rich in cultural heritage. According to the textual research on the surrounding ancient sites and unearthed cultural relics, as early as the Five Emperors' era about 5,000 years ago, there were people living here. There are Yao Di Temple, Yaoshan, He Yao and Yaogou on the mountain to commemorate Yao Di's activities here. These ravines, named after ancient Yao Di, are surrounded by dozens of Dawenkou and Longshan cultural sites in the border areas of Linqu, Qingzhou and Changle counties, which proves that it was once an important activity place in Yao Di.

Jishan lies a few miles southeast of the mountain. Due to the boarding activities of Huangdi and Yaodi's father and son in ancient times, it became a famous historical mountain, which attracted the attention of scholars in previous dynasties. The Records of the Five Emperors records that the Yellow Emperor crossed the sea eastward and went to Maruyama Mountain and Jishan Mountain. Later emperors, such as Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, recorded climbing Jishan Mountain. Jishan, also known as Danshan, is surrounded by the fief of Zhu, the son of Emperor Yao, and is also known as the "empty space".

E Mountain is located at the southern foot of Yaoshan Mountain, a branch of Yaoshan Mountain, and is now the hunting ground of Shanwang Paleontological Fossil Reserve. According to legend, a pair of golden pheasants live on the mountain. They are very kind to people. Wherever they go, they are honest and harmonious, and the people live and work in peace and contentment. One day, a southern businessman passed by E-Shan South 10 km in the evening, and found the south foot of Yaoshan resplendent, and decided that there was a treasure here. After several days of observation, I finally found a pair of golden roosters coming in and out. The golden light is emitted by the golden pheasant. One night, a thrush was shot by a businessman, and the other was hidden in the mountains forever. Later, people named this mountain "Goose Mountain".
