Distinguishing characteristics: the stem base is more or less branched into clusters, slender, creeping or uplifted, more or less pilose, with a height of 10~25cm. Leaves opposite, short-stalked, triangular, round, 5~ 10mm long, usually with 7~9 obtuse serrations. Racemes are terminal; Bracts leaflike, alternate; Pedicel slightly shorter than bracts, reflexed downward after flowering; Calyx 4-parted almost to the base, lobes ovate, fruit up to 5 mm, pilose; Corolla blue-purple, radial, 4~8mm in diameter, extremely short tube, capsule nearly kidney-shaped, slightly flat, densely pilose, ridge mixed with glandular hairs, slightly shorter than calyx, 4~5mm in width, right-angled notch, round lobe tip, inconspicuous pulse, style flush with notch or skipping; Seeds boat-shaped, with wavy longitudinal wrinkles on the back.
Biological characteristics: annual or perennial herbs, born in wasteland, forest edge and roadside below 2200m m m. Born in September ~ 10 in Weihe river basin, Shaanxi province, it rarely appears in early spring. The flowering period is from March to May, and the seeds propagate. The seeds gradually matured in April and germinated after about 3~4 months of dormancy.
