Cultivation method of chocolate tree
Kelihua, also known as Lace Golden Dew and Purple Plum, is native to tropical America. Its flower shape is quite special, with clusters of lavender flowers and white piping, which has high ornamental value. Its flowers give off a strong chocolate fragrance, so it is called chocolate flower.

Chocolate flowers belong to small shrubs and can bloom all year round. They like light, are more drought-tolerant and afraid of waterlogging. During the growing period, they can spray fertilizer or supplement compound fertilizer on the leaves. Once inflorescence appears, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be added.

When plants grow to a certain stage, they can be pruned into independent trunks or small shrubs or ordinary shrubs, but chocolate flowers have a weakness, that is, they are afraid of cold. It takes more than 28 degrees to bloom, and 30~35 degrees is its best flowering temperature, so it is difficult to bloom in winter in the north.

Chocolate flowers are well maintained and there are few pests and diseases. When there are no flowers, they should be trimmed properly.
