[Harm and Prevention of Productive Noise]
Productive noise is a common occupational hazard factor in petrochemical industry, which mainly refers to all kinds of noise produced in the production process. Productive noise can be divided into three categories: airflow noise, mechanical noise and electromagnetic noise.

Air flow noise refers to air flow noise or aerodynamic noise caused by sudden change of gas pressure or vortex formation, such as the sound of boiler emptying; Mechanical noise refers to the sound produced by mechanical friction, vibration, impact or high-speed rotation, such as the sound of crude oil pump working; Electromagnetic noise is mainly caused by the vibration of electrical components caused by alternating and pulsating magnetic fields. These noises will do some harm to petrochemical workers and need to be protected at work.

1. Noise distribution in petrochemical working environment

(1) Production noise of oil refining equipment. Such as vertical heating furnace, blower, induced draft fan, axial flow fan, air compressor, various oil pumps, motors, asphalt molding machine, steam turbine, boiler venting, steam purging equipment, coke discharging working process, etc.

(2) Noise of rubber production equipment. Such as turbine generators, various pumps, motors, rubber briquetting machines, boiler ventilation, water supply equipment, sewage treatment equipment, additive filling equipment, etc.

(3) Noise of fertilizer production equipment. Such as nitrogen compressor, reformer, ice maker, motor, liquid nitrogen conveying equipment, finished product packaging equipment, etc.

(4) Production noise of polymer compounds. Such as gas compressor, nitrogen compressor, kneader, granulator, injection molding machine, packaging machine, etc.

(5) Productive noise of petrochemical machinery manufacturing industry. Such as forging air hammer, end cover spinning machine, welding machine, shearing machine, hammer shaping in container manufacturing, sanding rust remover, air compressor, blower, etc.

(6) Noise of petrochemical catalyst manufacturing equipment. Such as mixers, stirrers, filters, drying furnaces, motors, pumps, air compressors, various boilers, etc.

2. Characteristics of noise in petrochemical operation environment

The noise in petrochemical working environment is mostly continuous noise with relatively high intensity, such as motors and air compressors. There are many kinds of noise and many kinds of equipment that produce noise. All kinds of noises interfere with each other, so the influence is relatively great.

3. The influence of noise on human health

Noise has many effects on human body, which will cause many diseases such as auditory system, nervous system, digestive system and cardiovascular system. Noise will change the auditory system of human body, which may cause temporary auditory displacement and further lead to permanent auditory displacement. Moreover, noise can cause neurasthenia syndrome such as headache, dizziness, memory loss and sleep disorder. It may also cause arrhythmia and blood pressure changes. In addition, noise can also cause digestive system disorders such as loss of appetite and abdominal distension, which will also have an impact on vision and blood sugar.

4. Noise prevention measures

(1) Eliminate noise sources. To prevent noise, we must first control the noise source, and realize noise control by transforming the process, mechanical structure or adopting sound insulation and controlling the vibration of equipment.

(2) Use technology to eliminate noise. Controlling noise can also absorb noise, and porous sound absorption materials can be used for sound absorption; Moreover, isolating noise with sound insulation equipment can also reduce the influence of noise; In addition, the noise generated by mechanical vibration can be reduced by preventing mechanical vibration, and the design ideas of some mechanical parts can be changed to achieve the effect of noise elimination.

(3) Take personal protective measures. For petrochemical workers, they should learn to choose and use personal protective equipment or devices, such as earplugs, earmuffs and helmets.

(4) Do a good job in noise monitoring. For petrochemical enterprises, it is necessary to do a good job of noise monitoring in the production process and strive to control the noise as low as possible. Employees who have been obviously affected by noise should be removed from the noisy working environment in time, and workers in the noisy working environment should be educated and protective measures should be taken.
