Wuchang Institute of Technology, located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by Hubei Provincial People's Government and filed by People's Republic of China (PRC) and Ministry of Education. It is also a training institution for non-commissioned officers in the army, navy, air force, rocket army, armed police force and national defense mobilization department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

The college was formerly Wuhan Guanghua Vocational College of Information Technology, which was established in May 2002. In February 2005, it was renamed Wuhan Language and Culture Vocational College, and in June 201February, it was renamed Wuchang Vocational College.
