There are two kinds of apple MFi certification: development license certification and production license certification. Those who are interested in developing or assisting in developing but do not manufacture parts can apply for MFi certification; Those who are interested in manufacturing components and have manufacturing equipment can apply for MFi certification.
Apple's MFi certification is all about security. They require all third-party connected devices (except Bluetooth connections) to join the MFi program and pass the MFi certification. The third-party lightning rod also hides the Apple authentication chip, which is protected by the metal sheet.

Precautions:
The core of MFI is the chip located on each Apple cable, which "checks" the chips on Apple devices to confirm each other's identities.
Apple evaluates the enterprise qualification according to the MFI standard, authorizes the factory to operate, provides chips and connectors to MFI enterprises through Amrich, a designated trader, and Deloitte (Hong Kong) regularly audits the authorized factory. In the production and sales of accessories, manufacturers need to report the declared quantity, used quantity, remaining quantity and flow direction of chips to Apple.
Third-party accessories suppliers must obtain MFI certification authorization, and obtain a specific serial number and a specific certification chip designated by Apple before they can produce Apple accessories, otherwise they will be restricted by the certification chip. To join the MFI project, the accessory manufacturer must sign an agreement with Apple and pay the MFI licensing fee.
