Feather fan is a traditional handicraft of Sanhe, an ancient water town in Feixi County under Hefei's jurisdiction. There are many "molting" people around Sanhe, carrying vendors' shoulders, shaking bells and going door to door, exchanging candy department stores and needles for goose feathers, which provides inexhaustible raw materials for Sanhe's feather handicraft industry. Goose feathers are divided into white goose feathers and goose goose feathers, which are particularly precious because of their rarity.

Feather fan is made of goose feathers, and its manufacturing process includes sorting, cleaning, airing, knotting, threading, setting, coloring, painting, decoration and packaging.
