4. The main exhibition hall of Zhengzhou Museum is based on Fang Ding, a bronze ware of Shang Dynasty unearthed in Zhengzhou, with a circular dish-shaped roof, which means "where the sky is round, the Central Plains stands". The circular dish roof above the building is a metaphor for the ancient philosophical concept that "the sky is round and the earth is round". The main exhibition hall includes three floors above ground and one underground. The overall architectural style takes the charm of the unity of roughness and exquisiteness. The exhibition hall of Zhengzhou Museum has a total area of 4,720 square meters, and the original basic exhibition area is about 2,000 square meters. It consists of three parts: the dawn of Zhengzhou civilization, the elegance of Zhengzhou ancient capital and the charm of ancient culture.
