Lei Dezu (199 1), the comic author of How Steel was Tempered, is from Nanning, Guangxi. 1959 studied in the middle school attached to Guangxi Arts University, 1962 studied in the printmaking department of Guangxi Arts University, and was assigned to Guangxi Literature and Art after graduation. Lei Dezu is one of the most outstanding cartoonists in 1980s. In his artistic creation career of more than 30 years, he has created a large number of excellent works of art, and has been rated as one of the top ten comic artists in China for three consecutive years. He explored tirelessly in the art of black, white and line and created his own artistic style. Regardless of foreign themes or China themes, painters have designed a series of pictures with great visual impact with skillful and exquisite painting skills and changeable composition and perspectives, which left a deep impression on readers and made them unforgettable all their lives. Unfortunately, due to years of hard work, he died young.
On the occasion of the 20 14 Winter Olympics held in Sochi, I specially selected 50 pictures from Lei Dezu's cartoon "How Steel was Tempered" to share with bloggers, in order to remember the author of "How Steel was Tempered" ostrovsky and the cartoonist Lei Dezu.
