(1) Earthwork excavation shall be carried out from top to bottom according to the requirements of drawings, and indiscriminate excavation and overbreak shall be strictly controlled. Blasting construction and digging for soil are strictly prohibited.

(2) When there is an aquifer in the excavated earthwork section, measures should be taken before the earthwork excavation of this layer.

(3) Pay attention to drainage during earthwork excavation, especially in areas with high groundwater level. When excavating, adopt the method of first two sides and then the middle, and leave 3 ~ 4% cross slope in the construction cross section to ensure smooth drainage.

(4) In case of soil change during excavation, the construction scheme and excavation slope shall be modified and reported to the supervision engineer for approval in time.

⑤ After subgrade excavation reaches the elevation, it should be carefully trimmed to make its width, slope and ditches meet the design requirements.

⑥ When excavating subgrade earthwork, the topsoil, planting soil, excessively wet soil with large water content (which can't be dried) and sapropel that can't be used as filler should be removed first. According to the site conditions, the earthwork in this contract section cannot be used as subgrade filler, and all of it will be transported to the spoil ground designated by the owner or within the red line of land requisition outside the road fill slope.
