Maoming People's Hospital is located in downtown Maoming, next to the beautiful Xiaodongjiang River. The hospital was founded in 1960, formerly known as Guangzhou Bank Hospital. 1August, 960, in order to support the construction of Maoming Petroleum City, it was moved to Maoming and renamed as Maoming People's Hospital. After 50 years of development, it has become the center of medical first aid, teaching and research, prevention and health care in Maoming area, and it is the only comprehensive third-class first-class hospital in Maoming area. The hospital won the National Labor Award on May 1st, and was successively rated as "National Civilized Unit", "National Top Ten People's Trust Hospital", "Guangdong Bethune-style Advanced Collective", Guangdong Provincial Professional Conduct Construction Advanced Unit and "Guangdong Workers Pioneer", and was rated as Maoming Advanced Collective for many times.
