What are the methods of shaping and pruning peach trees?
1. Winter pruning

Use methods such as short cutting, thinning branches, long laying and retraction.

summer pruning

Methods such as bud smearing, bud removing, core removing, shoot cutting, branch thinning, branch taking, branch pulling and branch supporting are adopted.

reduce the hours

Cut the annual branches short (figure 1 1).

Figure 1 1 nipple

Fine branches

Cut off annual (or new) or perennial branches from the base (Figure 12).

Play longer.

Let the annual branches grow naturally without pruning, which is also called slow release (figure 13).

retract

Cutting off a part of a 2-year-old branch or a perennial branch is also called pruning (Figure 14). The effect of retraction varies with the position of retraction: one is rejuvenation and the other is inhibition.

7. Plastic belt

When fixing the trunk, select a section of the trunk of the main branch, which is located below the incision and above the trunk (Figure 15).

Step 8 nip the bud

Remove excess buds to prevent them from growing into branches. Some of these buds are too dense and some are in the wrong direction (Figure 16).

9. Choose your heart

Cut off a twig at the top of the growing branch together with several tender leaves, and remove the growing point at the top (Figure 17).

10. Branch

Sparse overgrown branches, erect and overgrown branches (Figure 18).

1 1. Take the branch.

Hold the new shoot by hand and bend it downward from the base to the top, so that the xylem of the new shoot is injured without breaking. In the early stage of lignification of new shoots, taking strong and long branches can change their growth direction and angle, slow down their growth and promote the formation of flower buds.

12. Pull branches

Pull the branch to a certain angle in a certain direction by manual method. Usually one end of a rope, wire, etc. It is buried underground, and the other end is tied to a branch to open the corner.

13. Support branches

Use sticks, branches, etc. Spread out at two angles.

14. Hanging branches

Drop a heavy object on the branch to widen the angle of the big branch (Figure 19).
