Bamboo comb is a traditional craft in Hengyang County. During the Republic of China, there were more than 400 households 1200 people engaged in wood comb processing in Changtangpu area of Hengyang County.
Shishi bamboo carving
In May 2000, the Ministry of Culture awarded Shishi Township, Hengyang County the title of "Hometown of China Folk Art (Bamboo Woodcarving)". The bamboo and wood carving technology of Shishi began before the Qin and Han Dynasties, and the Han Dynasty had a considerable scale and level.
Daocaolong
China is the hometown of dragon culture, and the ancient totem of the Chinese nation is the dragon. There are many kinds of dragon lanterns in Hengyang County, including Bulong, Caolong, Paper Flower Dragon, Bamboo Beilong and Conglong. Among them, the grass dragon, the dragon body is woven with straw, the mouth can be opened and closed, the tongue can be extended and contracted, the eyes can be opened and closed, and the tail can be swung. In 2002, at the first Chuanshan Cultural Festival in China (Hengyang), 53 grass dragons made for a long time were 5 15 meters long, which were deeply loved by people. 1979 successively participated in Hengyang and Hunan cultural performances, and both won the first prize; 1988 was invited to participate in the Dragon Dance Grand Prix of Beijing International Tourism Year and won the third prize.
Zhajiang rice noodle
Hengyang county is rich in rice noodles, especially Zhajiang rice noodles. Zhajiang rice noodle takes late indica rice as raw material. Zhajiang rice flour has long been a household name, and it has become the first choice food for breakfast of county residents, especially urban residents.

Fuzi pepper
Wang Chuanshan (also known as Wang Fuzhi) lived in poverty when he lived in seclusion in Xiangxi Caotang, Hengyang County in his later years. He often fried glutinous rice, crushed it with tiles, seasoned it, made it into Chili, and put it in a jar for sealed collection. When eating, he took out a few pieces and fried them in oil until they were golden yellow. They were delicious and fragrant. In order to commemorate Wang Fuzhi, later generations spread this dish and named it Fuzi pepper.
