Can cashmere coats recover from shrinkage?
Under normal circumstances, cashmere coats will shrink when washed. Because animal hair such as cashmere or wool is protein fiber, which is easy to shrink, it is recommended to send it to a professional washing shop for dry cleaning.
How to restore the cashmere coat to its original state when it shrinks?
(1) Steam ironing restored the cashmere coat to its original state.
1, steam iron heating, low temperature ironing cashmere coat 1.5-2cm, you can check the highest ironing temperature written on the washing water sign on the inside of cashmere coat first, so as not to burn the coat if the temperature is too high.
2. When ironing, pull the cashmere coat while it is hot to lengthen its fiber. Due to the limited heating area of the steam iron, in order to ensure the uniform fiber stretching, the sweater is heated and stretched locally, sectionally and sectionally.
Note: you can't stretch a lot at a time. You have to heat and stretch repeatedly to be uniform. And know the total length of stretching, and don't overdo it. Moreover, the operation should be carried out on the ironing table, and a blanket can be spread on the desktop at home. After all, it is best to heat, shape and cool with a photo machine.
(2) Steamer+steam engine ironing
1. Wrap the cashmere coat with clean white cloth, be careful not to press it tightly, and try to keep it fluffy;
2. Put the wrapped cashmere coat in a cage and steam 15-20 minutes;
3, after coming out, take hot shake to restore the original state;
4. After cooling, iron at low temperature (80- 100 degrees Celsius).
(3) Send it to the dry cleaner.
The shrinkage of cashmere coat is mainly related to cashmere material itself and washing method. The fiber structure of wool clothes is looser than other fabrics, so it is easy to deform. Mild deformation can be recovered by ironing and stretching, while severe deformation is difficult to recover. It is recommended to send it to the dry cleaner for professional treatment.
How to maintain cashmere coat
Wool coats with a content of more than 60% can be dusted in stages after wearing for a period of time. First, pat the clothes to remove dust, and then use a special lint picker to remove the visible dust on the clothes. Then use a clean wet towel (towel soaked in warm water) to spread it flat on the clothes and pat it gently, so that the wet towel can absorb oil stains, and so on.
If you get dirty when you go out, you must clean it up immediately to avoid leaving traces. If you get water-based oil stains, suck them with a dry towel immediately, so that the stains will not spread easily. If you get oil stains, wipe them gently and repeatedly with a hot towel. Constant wiping can gradually reduce the area of stains on sweaters. When you get home, remember to wipe it with a towel dipped in a small amount of neutral detergent immediately. Dry cleaning once or twice a year is enough.
What do you think of the quality of cashmere coats?
1. The main surface part of the coat (the main surface part refers to the exposed part of the big body) has no obvious weaving defects or streaks.
2. There is no color difference at the main seam of the jacket (you need to look at the color difference under a certain brightness).
3. The fabric and lining structure of the coat should be tight. If the fabric and lining structure are loose, the strength of the seam of the coat will not meet the standard requirements, which will lead to the fabric slipping.
Slippery is the so-called "slippage" or "silk arrangement" of the fabric, and the degree of slippage is not up to the standard, which reflects that the seam strength of this coat is not enough, and it is easy to cause the seams of shoulder seam, armhole seam and side seam to fall off and make it impossible to wear. When buying clothes, you can pull it at the side seam to see if there is any "slippage" in the seam. Pay attention to the "slip" of the lining.
4, coat fabric, inverted hair pattern should be consistent. The main parts of clothes made of plaid fabric should be symmetrically aligned.
5. Pay attention to the texture of various accessories and ingredients on the coat, such as the buttons should be firm.
6. Surface parts with adhesive lining, such as collars, lapels, covers, and plackets, should not be degummed and blistered.
