Family rearing method of potted plum blossoms.
1. cuttings should be used instead of grafted seedlings. Because the red leaves grow fast, the grafted seedlings will form thick on the top and thin on the bottom, which will endanger the beauty of the tree.
2. Cultivate the crown from an early age. Cut off the upper branches from the base before the seedlings germinate; When the bud grows to 20 cm, it should be topped to promote new branches; Then choose an ideal branch of the seedling and cut off all the others; When the new branches grow to a certain relative height, they are grafted and kept for several times until a low and beautiful trunk is formed. For the branches on the trunk, two branches are selected for top connection in the same way to form several branches for various shaping, that is, an ideal posture can be formed.
3. Control fertilizer and water. Red-leaf plums like fat meat. In addition to applying proper decomposed fermentation fertilizer at the bottom of the pit when planting, some agricultural and animal husbandry fertilizers can be applied every year before freezing to make the main stem grow vigorously and the leaves glow. Potted soil should be dried to avoid wasting time.
4. Pay attention to trimming and shaping. The biggest advantage of red-leaf plum is its fast growth rate and good germination ability. The more frequent pruning, the bigger the technical bud and the thicker the main stem. Immediately cut off blind branches, branches and dead branches.
? 5 Temperature and sunshine requirements. Red-leaf plum is not tolerant to low temperature, drought, rainy day and humidity. The optimum growth temperature is 15-25℃, and the ultra-low temperature in winter is -5℃. Red-leaf plum is a positive green plant, and likes the natural environment with abundant sunshine and fertile soil and water. The growth and development are not very good under semi-cloudy conditions, so the fields where red-leaf plums are planted should be sheltered by buildings, flowers and trees.
6. Pot the soil. Put the red-leaf plum that needs to be replanted on the ground, first tap the periphery of the potted flower pot by hand, shake the roots and take it off the wall of the potted flower pot. After taking it out, gently pat the bonsai soil with your hands to remove excess soil.
