1. Variety selection: Due to the long history of cultivated varieties such as Zizyphus jujuba and Junzao, the varieties are quite different. There are many varieties and strains, and the good and the bad are mixed. Xinzhenghong 1, Xinzhenghong 2, etc. Approved by Henan Provincial Forest Variety Approval Committee, it is suggested to be a new planting variety of Zizyphus jujuba. It is suggested that Junzao 1, an excellent strain selected from Junzao in Jiaocheng County by Shanxi Academy of Forestry (formerly Institute of Forestry), should be selected as Junzao variety. (In 2003, it was approved by Shanxi Forest Variety Approval Committee, and its comprehensive properties were better than those of common Junzao). Huping jujube and Jinchang No.1 are also in the same strain as Junzao.

In areas with scarce seedling resources, you can also select plants that meet the characteristics of these varieties for grafting in jujube orchards that have been planted in Xinjiang, such as Huizao, Junzao, Hupingzao and Jinchang No.1.

Second, the planting density

The planting density of jujube trees is directly related to the economic strength (production input) and management level of farmers: First, the greater the density, the higher the production input; The management level determines the income of the garden. The higher the density, the more the production management should keep up, so as to achieve the expected goal. Although these jujube varieties bear fruit early, the formation of early yield is also based on a certain number of branches, that is, the formation of early yield is positively correlated with the number of branches. Therefore, we should pay attention to close planting and garden construction in production and take the road of increasing production by groups. Generally, it can be planted according to the standard of plant spacing of 2 ~ 3m or 2 ~ 4m, with 84 ~11plant per mu. Blindly increasing the planting density (such as planting 222 plants per mu) will not only increase the workload of tree pruning management in the future, but also greatly increase the production input. According to the calculation, planting11plant per mu is of medium management level, and the three-year investment is about 300kg (dried dates) per mu. It can be reached around 2500 yuan.

Third, pruning techniques of jujube trees

Due to the short time of large-scale development of jujube trees and the large area of single cultivation, there are two main problems in jujube tree pruning:
