The highest point of the main peak of Yulong Snow Mountain is 5596 meters above sea level, with snow all year round, and the height of snow line is between 4800 and 5000 meters. There are temperate marine glaciers in Eurasia closest to the equator.
Yulong Snow Mountain is influenced by southwest monsoon, and the mountain datum level represented by Lijiang Basin belongs to south temperate climate. In addition to the distinct dry and wet seasons, the climate is short in summer, with plenty of sunshine in winter and spring, with an average annual sunshine hours of 2530h and a large amount of radiation. Due to the great height difference between the valley and the top of the mountain, the vertical climate is very different. Every altitude 100 m, the average temperature drops by 0.86℃, and vertical climatic zones such as warm, warm-wet, warm-cool, north subtropical and cold temperature appear in turn from the valley to the top of the mountain.
