Harbin Railway Central Hospital was established in 1897 and officially opened in 1903. It is called Dong Qing Railway Central Hospital and Middle East Railway Central Hospital. Manchuria Railway Hospital/KOOC-0/935, Soviet Red Army War Wounded Hospital/KOOC-0/945, Northeast Railway General Administration Hospital/KOOC-0/946, Zhongchang Railway Central Hospital/KOOC-0/950, Harbin Railway Central Hospital/KOOC-0/953-2004.

On September 7th, 2004, the Heilongjiang Provincial Government, Harbin Medical University and Harbin Railway Bureau signed the management agreement that Harbin Railway Central Hospital is under the local jurisdiction and affiliated to Harbin Medical University. In June of the same year 10, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University and the Fourth Clinical Medical College held a grand unveiling ceremony.
