People's Daily is the organ newspaper of The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCCPC).

The newspaper was founded in June 1948 in Lizhuang, Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. It was formed by the merger of Shanxi-Chaji Daily and Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan People's Daily. It is the organ newspaper of North China C.O. and has also assumed the function of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China organ newspaper. People's Daily, as the mouthpiece of the Party and the government, as an important window for China's cultural exchanges with foreign countries, and as a stage to show the vigorous development of new socialist China, actively publicizes the policies and propositions of the Party and the government, records the social changes in China and reports the changes taking place in China.
