How to fold the cake
The folding method of the cake is as follows:

Method 1: Prepare a piece of colored paper, align it with the center line up, down, left and right in turn, and fold it into a square. Method 2: First, prepare six square pieces of paper with different sizes, fold them, open them, align them on both sides of the center line, fold them and open them, as shown in the figure.

Before opening, fold the crease according to the shape in the figure, align both sides with the center line, open and press down, align both sides with the center line, open and press again, align all four corners with the center line of the small square, fold in half and open again, press the crease in the previous step to open it, and then turn it over, as shown in the figure.

Folding method of cupcakes:

1. Prepare a square piece of colored double-sided paper. It is best to have one side colored and one side white. Only in this way can cupcakes have a layered and three-dimensional sense.

2. Fold the square in half along a diagonal line. When folding in half, all the edges should be aligned so that the folded origami will look better.

Then fold one corner of the square in half, but don't fold it diagonally. The folding angle is about half a centimeter to one centimeter from the diagonal.

4. Then fold the corner up about half a centimeter. Because the following folding has to be repeated several times, the proportion is not easy to control, and fine-tuning can be done later.

5. Then fold down the small corner just folded, and fold it again. The final folded corner should be flush with other corners, if it is uneven, it will not look good.

6. Then fold the corresponding corner in the opposite direction, and then fold it back, with a distance of about half a centimeter in the middle. The folding method is the same as the previous steps. Don't make mistakes.

7. Then fold the top corner. The folded corner is about the same size as the corresponding color corner below, which can look better.

8. Then turn around and fold the two big corners on both sides of the triangle inward, as shown in the figure. Be sure to pay attention to the symmetry when folding, otherwise it will not look good.
