Process flow of precision mould processing
Mold processing technology generally includes casting, cutting and special processing.

(1) casting processing casting processing methods mainly include zinc alloy casting (suitable for cold mold, plastic mold and rubber mold), low melting point alloy casting (suitable for cold mold and plastic mold), Shore casting, beryllium bronze casting (plastic mold) and synthetic resin casting (suitable for cold mold). Used to prepare the upper and lower templates for cold stamping dies and large-scale drawing.

Relevant technical data of die steel: flame hardened steel, nonmagnetic die steel, red stamping die steel, air-cooled steel, matrix steel, Japanese Datong die steel, Swedish Yishengbai die steel, DC53, VIKING, S 136, SLEIPNER, CALDIE, rigeracy, etc.

(2) Cutting methods mainly include ordinary machine tool processing (suitable for all kinds of mold processing), precision cutting machine processing, copying milling machine processing, copying planer processing, forming grinder processing, engraving machine, copying machine and CNC machine tools. According to the machining accuracy of die parts, cutting is divided into rough machining, finish machining and renovation machining.

(1), rough machining process The so-called rough machining process refers to the process of removing most of the machining allowance from the workpiece during machining to make its shape and size close to the requirements of finished products. Such as rough turning, rough boring, rough milling, rough planing and drilling. The machining accuracy is lower than IT 1 1, and the rough machining process with surface roughness Ra 6.3μm is mainly used for the final machining with low requirements or non-surface matching and as the pre-processing before finishing.

(2) Finishing process Finishing process is to remove less machining allowance from rough surface, so that the workpiece can achieve higher machining accuracy and surface quality. Commonly used machining methods mainly include fine turning, fine boring, reaming, grinding, electrical machining and form grinding.

(3) Renovation process Renovation process is to remove a little machining allowance from the surface of the machined workpiece to obtain parts with high precision and surface quality. This process is generally called the final process of parts processing, and its precision and surface quality requirements should meet the requirements of mold design drawings, such as grinding guide posts and guide sleeves, polishing workpiece forming parts, etc.

At present, all kinds of molds, from rough machining and finishing to assembly technology and debugging, have developed and equipped with various forms and specifications of high-efficiency precision machining equipment, and basically realized mechanized and automated production.
