Vietnam’s rules and procedures are very needed by many Chinese tourists who want to travel and work in Vietnam. Because this year is special, there are some new changes in how to apply for a visa on arrival in Vietnam. Let me share with you the latest rules and procedures for Vietnam visa on arrival in 2008.
Vietnam Practical Travel Guide and Latest Visa on Arrival Guide
1. Ordinary visa Ordinary tourist visa is divided into one-month single return (about 220 yuan, price in January 2008) and One-month multiple return, as well as three-month single return and three-month multiple return.
If you don’t go to Vietnam often, you only need to sign a monthly single return, which means that you can enter and exit Vietnam at any time within the validity period of one month (30 days).
2. Visa on arrival Vietnam currently offers visa on arrival to China, but the procedures are complicated. Here, I suggest that individual tourists can apply through domestic qualified travel agencies. (Otherwise, this involves the approval documents for the visa on arrival. Use your mobile phone to take a photo of the inside page of your passport, determine the travel date, print the approval document, and prepare two 2-inch color photos with a white background and no hat in advance, US$25; arrive in Vietnam with the approval document, and Complete the formalities and pay the fee at the VOA counter, apply for a visa, and then you can enter. )
Currently, the land visa ports open in Vietnam are Hanoi, HCMC Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc. island.
According to the latest news I got, visa on arrival is now available at Pingxiang Youyiguan Port and Dongxing Port. If you apply on the same day, you can enter the country on the same day. The monthly round-trip visa fee is 366 yuan, and the three-month multiple visa fee is 566 yuan.
How to go to Vietnam after applying for a visa?
There are two ways to travel to Hanoi, China:
First, many domestic cities have direct flights to Hanoi.
Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, etc. Especially those in Hong Kong are very cheap, about 300 yuan.
The domestic international airport is about 35 kilometers away from the city center. The No. 86 airport bus goes directly to the center of Hanoi (via Hanoi Railway Station 36th Street to restore Jianhu). After getting on the bus, you can buy tickets. The fare is 30,000 VND. If you take a taxi to the center of Hanoi, it will be about 300,000 VND.
The second is to enter by land. The main land entry ports are Guangxi Pingxiang Port, Guangxi Dongxing Port, and Yunnan Hekou Port.
Answer: The Youyi Pass Port in Pingxiang, Guangxi is 170 kilometers away from Hanoi. Since there is no highway after entering Vietnam, the whole journey takes about 3.5 hours.
The convenience of the through train is that when passengers enter Vietnam Customs, the staff will help check their passports, and individuals only need to carry their luggage through the security check. The fare is 90 yuan: there are two flights a day, departing from Pingxiang at 7:00 and 9:00 in the morning.
Of course, you can also choose to take a taxi to Youyiguan Port in Pingxiang, Guangxi (taxi fare is 30 yuan) and visit Youyiguan (one of the nine famous ports in China). Then I passed the Chinese Customs and walked for about 5 minutes to the Vietnamese Customs for security inspection.
b: From Guangxi Pingxiang Railway Station, you can also take the overnight train (Nanning-Hanoi, Vietnam) to Hanoi when entering the country at Guangxi Pingxiang Port. The departure time from Nanning is 18:45 and the arrival time in Pingxiang is 22:10. After customs passport control, we departed at 23:40 and arrived at Hanoi Gia Lam Station around 6:00 the next morning.
Note: International train tickets cannot be purchased online (TB doesn’t know haha), they can only be purchased at the station.
Note: The station the train arrives at is Gia Lam Station, not Hanoi Station. Gia Lam Station is 6 kilometers away from the restored Jianhu Lake in the center of Hanoi. You need to take a taxi to get there. Do not take private cars parked on the roadside. It is best to take a regular taxi.
c: It takes a long time to enter Hanoi from Guangxi Dongxing Port, about 7 hours. But if you plan to travel to Halong Bay, it is recommended to enter the customs through Dongxing Port in Guangxi, because Halong Bay is about a 4-hour drive from Dongxing.
