1, H65: the performance is between H68 and H62, the price is cheaper than H68, the mechanical properties are good, the strength and plasticity are high, it can withstand cold and hot pressure processing well, and it is prone to corrosion cracking. H65 brass is used to manufacture hardware, daily necessities, screws and other products.
2.H62: Ordinary brass has good mechanical properties, good hot plasticity, acceptable cold plasticity, good machinability, easy soldering and corrosion resistance, but it is easy to cause corrosion cracking. In addition, the price is cheap, and it is a common brass variety widely used. It can be used to manufacture various stressed parts, such as pins, rivets, washers, nuts, conduits, barometer springs, filter screens, radiator parts, etc.
3.H68: Good plasticity, high strength, good machinability, easy welding, stable to general corrosion, but easy to corrode and crack. It is the most widely used variety in ordinary brass. The performance of H68 brass is very similar to that of H70, but it tends to be "quarter-cracked" in cold working. Used as complex cold-drawn parts and deep-drawn parts, such as bellows, bullets, shells, etc.
The meaning of brass code is according to the provisions of the "Representation of Nonferrous Metals and Alloy Products" in China, and brass is represented by the code (Chinese Pinyin) "H". Ordinary brass is expressed by "H" plus the percentage of basic element copper, such as: 62 copper is expressed as H62, 65 copper is expressed as H65, and so is H68.
