The upright palms of the Xingshen Zhuang refer to the smooth meridians

1. Posture requirements

1. With your arms spread flat and your body centered, under the guidance of your middle finger, raise your palms up, push your palms outwards, and retract the back of your hands and the roots of your fingers to make your palms and arms form a right angle. After the posture is adjusted, use the shoulder blades to drive, retract the arms without bending the elbows, keep both arms flat and extended, maintain the original angle of the palms, and then push outwards. Repeat three to five times.

2. The palm and the arm form a right angle, and the five fingers are separated, first into the big finger and little finger, then into the second and fourth fingers. Then bring the five fingers together. When joining together, bring the second and fourth fingers together first, and then the big and little fingers in the background. Repeat five to seven times (the more, the better).

3. Relax the upright palm, then grasp the palms section by section, retract them inward, curl the five fingers like a hook, pinch the big finger at the ends of the other four fingers, and lift the five fingers up towards the palm in a plum blossom shape. The whole hand is in a half-grip position. Then turn the palms upward, straighten the fingers section by section, and repeat several times.

4. Under the guidance of your middle finger, place your palm flat and in line with your arm. Then do the left and right arms three to five times.

2. Action essentials

> When practicing this pose, both arms must be stretched flat, but you are not allowed to look with your eyes. The way to check whether the arms are flat or uneven is to relax the shoulders and arms. If the hands feel heavy and the shoulders feel loose, the hands are too low; if the hands feel light and the shoulders feel heavy, the hands are too high. Adjusted in this way, it can maintain its straight position. The finger opening and closing movements of this posture must be in order and rhythm, and cannot be opened and closed at the same time. Also bend the wrist, bend the fingers, extend the wrist, and extend the fingers, mainly the middle and slight sections of the fingers. Pay attention to the movement of each small joint. After mastering it, you will gradually be required to do the pupa-like movements.

3. Function

There are "well points" on the fingertips of the six meridians of the three yin meridians of the hand and the three yang meridians of the hand. The "well point" is an important point for the qi of the meridians and the qi outside the meridians to enter and exit the body. This is the focus of this exercise, so it can strengthen the function of the "well points" and promote the smooth flow of qi and blood in the meridians. Among them, segmented movement 2 mainly moves the three yin meridians of the hand, so the qi machine is under the arm (there is a sense of soreness and swelling there). The wrist bending and finger bending movements in segmented movement 3 mainly move the three yang meridians of the hand, so the Qi machine is on the upper part of the arm (there are sore and swollen fingertips there, so Qi is obtained quickly. Careful practice is of great benefit to acupuncture and massage. Can be used for the treatment of upper limb diseases.
