Urban construction area of Hohhot and Yinchuan
Hohhot covers an area of 1.7224 square kilometers and is located in the north of China, the northern frontier and the inland of Eurasia. It is the core city of Hu Baoyin urban agglomeration, an important bridge connecting the Yellow River Economic Belt, the Eurasian Continental Bridge and the Bohai Economic Zone, and an important central city along the border for China to open to Mongolia and Russia. Yinchuan covers an area of 949 1 km2. Yinchuan, known as Xingqing House and Ningxia City in ancient times, is known as "the land of plenty and the water town in the south of the Yangtze River". It is located in the middle of Ningxia Plain, with Helan Mountain in the west and the Yellow River in the east. It is a national historical and cultural city, an important central city in northwest China, and the military, political, economic, cultural research, transportation, finance and business center of the whole region.
