The function of crystal oscillator is to provide basic clock signal for the system. Usually a system * * * uses a crystal oscillator, which is convenient for all parts to keep synchronization. In some communication systems, the fundamental frequency and radio frequency use different crystal oscillators, but they are synchronized by electronic frequency adjustment.
Crystal oscillator is usually used in conjunction with PLL circuit to provide the clock frequency required by the system. If different subsystems need clock signals with different frequencies, they can be provided by different phase-locked loops connected to the same crystal oscillator.
Extended data
Crystal oscillator is the abbreviation of quartz crystal resonator, also called active crystal oscillator. It can generate clock frequency signals needed by the central processing unit (CPU) to execute instructions. All instructions of CPU are executed on this basis. The higher the frequency of the clock signal, the faster the CPU usually runs.
As long as the electronic product containing CPU contains at least one clock source, even if the actual oscillator circuit is invisible to the outside, it is integrated inside the chip and is called the heart of the circuit system.
