First, the effect of rhinoplasty is achieved by injecting hyaluronic acid. The advantages are shorter injection operation time, better postoperative effect and faster recovery. The bad thing is that hyaluronic acid may have embolism, and hyaluronic acid can only last for half a year to a year or so. After time, the effect of hyaluronic acid will disappear and need to be injected again.
Secondly, augmentation rhinoplasty can be achieved by autologous fat transplantation. The advantage is that after autologous fat transplantation, once it survives, its appearance and feel are very natural and realistic. But the fat support is relatively insufficient.
If the required nose height or stiffness is very high, sometimes obesity is beyond reach. Moreover, fat has a certain success rate and needs to be done several times to achieve relatively satisfactory results.
Thirdly, the effect of rhinoplasty is achieved by implanting a prosthesis. Prosthesis generally adopts silicone prosthesis or bulge, which has the advantage of reaching the desired height or shape of nose at one time. The disadvantage is that rejection, displacement and capsular contracture of prosthesis may occur.
Fourth, the advantage of autogenous costal cartilage rhinoplasty is that its own tissue will not be rejected, and it is more natural, and the height or hardness that can be achieved can also be met. The disadvantage is that it needs to be taken from the costal cartilage of the body, which is equivalent to a larger wound area, and deformation or capsule contracture of the autogenous costal cartilage may occur.
