How to Design Hardware Mould
In industrial production, metal molds are parts or products that use various presses and special tools installed on the presses to make metal materials into required shapes. This special tool is collectively called metal mold. Hardware dies can be divided into blanking dies, bending dies, drawing dies and forming dies. According to different process properties, process combinations and product processing methods. The structure of a metal mold is divided into an upper mold and a lower mold, in which the working part and the necessary fixed part are indispensable. Let's take a look at how to design hardware molds! What kinds of hardware molds are there?

1, classified according to process attributes.

(1) Stamping die A die that separates materials along a closed or open contour. Such as blanking die, punching die, cutting die, cutting die, trimming die, cutting die, etc.

(2) Bending the die makes the blank or other blanks bend and deform along a straight line (bending line), thus obtaining a die with a certain angle and shape.

(3) Drawing die is a die that makes the blank of sheet metal into an open hollow part or further changes the shape and size of the hollow part.

(4) The forming die is a die for directly copying and forming a blank or semi-finished workpiece according to the shapes of the male die and the female die, and the material itself only produces local plastic deformation. Such as expanding die, necking die, flaring die, wavy forming die, flanging die, shaping die, etc.

(5) Riveting is to connect or lap the participating parts in a certain order and manner by external force, and then form a whole.

2, according to the degree of process combination classification

(1) Single-process stamping die A die that only completes one stamping process in one stroke of the printing machine.

(2) The compound die has only one station, and in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are completed at the same station at the same time.

(3) The progressive die (also called the continuous die) has two or more stations in the feeding direction of the blank, and in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are continuously completed at different stations.

(4) The transfer die combines the characteristics of single-process die and progressive die, and the rapid transfer of products in the die is realized by using the manipulator transfer system, which can greatly improve the production efficiency of products, reduce the production cost of products, save material costs, and ensure stable and reliable quality.

3, according to the product processing method classification

(1) Punching and shearing die: the work is done by shearing. The common forms are shearing die, blanking die, punching die, trimming die, broaching die and punching die.

(2) Bending die: bending the flat blank into an angle shape. According to the shape, precision and output of parts, there are many different types of dies, such as common bending die, cam bending die, curling die, arc bending die, bending punching die and torsion die.

(3) Drawing die: Drawing die is to make a flat blank into a seamless container with a bottom.

(4) Forming die: refers to changing the shape of the blank by various local deformation methods, including bulging forming die, curling forming die, necking forming die, hole flange forming die and round edge forming die.

(5) Die: The metal blank flows and deforms into the required shape by strong pressure, and its types include extrusion die, embossing die, embossing die and end die.

What is the structure of metal stamping die?

Generally, it can be divided into upper die and lower die. The upper die consists of a die handle (punch handle), a guide sleeve, a punch, a backing plate, a fixed plate, a screw, a pin, an upper die holder (upper bracket) and a stripper plate. The lower die is generally composed of the lower die base, guide plate (side guide plate), concave die, baffle, support plate, guide post, screw and pin.

It should be pointed out that not all stamping die structures have the above six kinds of accessories, especially single-process dies, but the working part and the necessary fixed part are indispensable.

How to Design Hardware Mould

1. Discuss the material direction (product material, mold material).

2, concave-convex die gap size.

3. The position and quantity of guide pins are sufficient.

4. Whether to consider the rebound of waste and whether the discharging along the die is smooth.

5. Whether the monitor and waste rebound sensor are designed.

6, positioning plate and floating pin selection is appropriate.

7. Whether the number, size and position of bolts (including discharging bolts) are selected correctly.

8, considering the blanking force, choose the punch.
