What is the difference between an instrument nurse and a handwashing nurse?

Hello!

Both the instrument nurse and the hand-washing nurse are operating room nurses, but the division of labor is different. The instrument nurse is responsible for delivering the required surgical instruments to the doctor during the operation and counting the instruments after the operation. The hand washing nurse helps the surgeon with hand washing, disinfection, dressing and other tasks before surgery. They are not medical assistants but nurses.
