Fuzhou, referred to as Rongcheng for short, belongs to Fujian Province, located in the east of Fujian Province, the lower reaches of Minjiang River and coastal areas. It is the capital of Fujian Province, the political, cultural and transportation center of Fujian Province, and one of the central cities in the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait. Fuzhou, founded in 202 BC, has long been the political center of Fujian.
It is an important city in the southeast coast of China and the headquarters of the army organs in the eastern theater. Fuzhou landform belongs to a typical estuary basin, surrounded by mountains, and the elevation is mostly between 600~ 1000 meters.
Fuzhou is one of the first coastal open cities, the gateway of the Maritime Silk Road and one of the three areas of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Fuzhou was also one of the five earliest trading ports in modern China. Fuzhou Mawei is the cradle of China's modern navy and the birthplace of China's ship administration culture.
Fuzhou has a long history, from the Tanshishan culture in the late Neolithic period to the Loess Lun style in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties in the Central Plains, which shows that the ancestors of the Min nationality used to fish, collect or engage in primitive farming here, using stone tools such as grindstones, axes and knives. He has mastered the production techniques such as textile and pottery making and the corresponding decorative arts.
During the Warring States, Qin and Han Dynasties, Fujian ancestors in Fuzhou merged with the descendants of Gou Jian, the king of Yue, to form the local regime of Fujian and Guangdong. 1992, 1998, 1999, the cultural accumulation layer of the Han Dynasty was discovered at the Jiandu site at the west exit of Qiantang Lane, Gu Ping Road, Jiandu site at Pingshan Vegetable Market and Jiandu site at the Finance Department of Chi Pan, Ouye, and there were dragon and phoenix tiles, long live tiles, cloth tiles, pipe tiles, board tiles and the architectural base of the Han Dynasty unearthed.
