According to the clear location of the incision during surgery, it can be divided into the following two types:
1. Intraoral incision method: the mandible can be modified through the intraoral incision to remove the part to be removed Bone or a prosthesis placed in a certain part of the mandible to change the shape of the mandible. The surgery has minimal trauma and leaves no trace on the face after surgery. It is currently widely used clinically.
2. Lower mandibular incision method: An incision is made on the lower edge of the mandible during surgery, and the prosthesis is placed on the front and lower edge of the mandible through the incision on the lower edge of the mandible. The surgical trauma is smaller, but the mandibular bone remains intact after the operation. A linear incision will be left on the lower edge. So now it is basically eliminated.
