What do you need to be a medical assistant?
Medical assistant is not an assistant doctor, but a new profession.

You can refer to a blog post on medical assistance.

Turn:

In the hospital, although I wear a nurse's uniform as an ordinary nurse, my job nature is different from that of an ordinary nurse, because my daily job is not to give injections and infusions to patients, but to sit in front of doctors. The so-called "medical assistance" is the doctor's assistant. A specialized hospital like ours has many patients every day, but only one doctor can't take care of them. At this time, we need a medical assistant to help us.

It seems simple, but it is not something that ordinary people can do. First of all, the doctor you cooperate with is the person you contact the most every day, so you must have a good tacit understanding with the doctor. Sometimes it only takes a word or a look to understand.

It is not easy to be a good medical assistant, because you have to deal with patients all the time every day, and you have to pay for the medicine with the patients, which requires medical assistants to have good communication skills, but also to know how to master the patients' psychology and improvise.

Secondly, when there are many patients, medical assistants should know the difference between primary and secondary, that is, no matter how many patients there are, they should ensure that everyone can see a doctor and not let them wait too long. For example, when a doctor asks another patient, the medical assistant can properly understand what the last few people are seeing, know what tests they need, and then write a list directly for them to do, because sometimes it takes a long time to wait for the test results, so that they can do it.

Of course, the most important thing for a good medical assistant is to have certain professional knowledge. The professional knowledge mentioned here is not all about nursing, but about medical treatment. When the patient has questions and the doctor is away, you should answer them in time. Don't be ignorant. When a doctor makes a diagnosis, you should also know what medicine to use for symptomatic treatment. When doctors are busy with outpatient surgery, medical assistants should know how to stabilize other waiting patients, but they should ask about their illness appropriately to make it necessary.

What I said above is only the most basic requirement as a medical assistant. Of course, being a good medical assistant is far more than that. Don't underestimate medical help. In some large hospitals with better benefits, the salary of medical assistants is much higher than that of nurses in infusion rooms or physiotherapy rooms, but not everyone can do it.

Medical assistance tends to be a little proud, especially those experts with earlier authority, because they will get the support of doctors when they cooperate well. Of course, the favor and salary of medical assistants are the envy of nurses in auxiliary departments.

My personal work in the hospital has basically been recognized by the leaders. In their eyes, I am a good medical assistant, and in the eyes of the doctors I cooperate with, I am the most suitable medical assistant for her.
