Guangzhou Likeng Domestic Waste Incineration Power Plant is a modern waste treatment plant invested and built in Guangzhou to effectively solve the increasingly serious urban domestic waste treatment problem. The factory covers an area of 10 1778 square meters, with a building area of 23,997 square meters, a daily garbage disposal capacity of 1040 tons and a fly ash solidification capacity of 70 tons, with a total construction investment of 725.52 million yuan. At present, it is the only garbage incineration power plant in China with a medium temperature secondary high pressure boiler.

The incineration power generation process is "two furnaces and one machine" (two incinerators/waste heat boilers and one turbine generator set), and the high-temperature flue gas above 850℃ stays in the furnaces for 2 seconds to ensure the decomposition of dioxins. The flue gas purification system consists of four parts: nitrogen oxide (NOX) control process, acid gas absorption process such as hydrogen chloride (HCl)/ sulfur dioxide (SO2)/ hydrogen fluoride (HF), heavy metal vapor and dioxin gas absorption process and bag dust removal system. Selective non-catalytic reduction flue gas denitration technology (SNCR method) is adopted in the control process of nitrogen oxides (NOX), which can control the concentration of nitrogen oxides within 200mg/Nm3. The absorption process of acid gases such as hydrogen chloride (HCl) adopts the spray absorption and drying process of calcium hydroxide slurry (semi-dry absorption process), which can control the concentration of hydrogen chloride within 40mg/Nm3, hydrogen fluoride within 0.4mg/Nm3 and sulfur dioxide within 40mg/Nm3. The removal rate of hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride is above 95%, and the removal rate of sulfur dioxide is above 80%. The powdery product of the reaction tower is composed of calcium chloride, calcium sulfate, calcium fluoride and calcium hydroxide which are not completely reacted. Most of them are separated from the flue gas in the tower and discharged from the cone outlet, and a few of them enter the bag dust collector with the flue gas for collection. The flue gas from the absorption tower is sprayed with iodine-containing activated carbon before entering the bag filter. Iodine-containing activated carbon has a good adsorption effect on dioxins and heavy metal vapors. Activated carbon enters the bag filter with flue gas. The main function of bag filter is to collect dust, and the dust removal efficiency is as high as 99.9%. In addition, the powder layer adhered to the surface of the cloth bag further absorbs heavy metals and dioxin gas in the flue gas. After the flue gas is adsorbed by activated carbon and filtered by bag filter, the dust concentration will be lower than 5mg/Nm3, the dioxin concentration will be much lower than 0. 1ng/Nm3, and the mercury concentration will be lower than 0.0 1mg/Nm3. In order to effectively monitor the emission of harmful substances in the atmosphere, the online smoke detection system of SEGHERS company in Belgium was introduced. Fly ash is solidified in the factory, and the solidified blocks are handed over to the safe landfill for disposal. Most of the landfill leachate is pumped into the incinerator for incineration, while the remaining leachate and washing waste water are pumped into Likeng Sewage Treatment Plant for treatment, and the drainage reaches the reuse standard.

Key technologies and equipment reflect the advanced level in the world today and are directly introduced from abroad. SNCR out-of-stock technology was introduced from Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan, and tail gas purification technology was introduced from SEGHERS Company of Belgium. Incinerator/waste heat boiler are imported from Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan, acid gas absorption tower, activated carbon adsorption reactor, bag dust collector and flue gas online detection system are imported from SEGHERS Company of Belgium, garbage grab is imported from Kone Company of Finland, large crusher is imported from SID Company of Switzerland, and the sealed door (fully automatic) of garbage storage bin is imported from Japan.
