Working principle of mq5 sensor
The working principle of mq5 sensor is that when the elastic axis of the sensor is twisted, the strain bridge detects the signal and amplifies it to some extent through the instrument amplifier circuit.

Secondly, the amplified strain signal is converted into a frequency signal by a V or F converter and transmitted from the primary winding of the signal toroidal transformer to the secondary winding. Finally, after filtering and shaping by the signal processing circuit, the frequency signal proportional to the torque of the elastic shaft is obtained. This signal is an induction signal, which can be used in instruments or transmitted to a computer for corresponding processing.

The gas sensitive material used in Mp5 sensor is tin dioxide, which has low conductivity in clean air. When combustible gas exists in the environment where the sensor is located, the conductivity of the sensor increases with the increase of combustible gas concentration in the air. Mp5 sensor has high sensitivity to butane, propane and methane, and can consider methane and propane at the same time. This sensor can detect all kinds of combustible gases, especially natural gas, and is a low-cost sensor suitable for various applications.
