About dandruff
In China, dandruff is more common than in Europe and America, and 60% of adults have dandruff and itching to varying degrees. Although many people are actively seeking solutions, a common view is that dandruff cannot be cured. After using anti-dandruff shampoo, as long as there is no obvious large amount of dandruff and head itching only happens occasionally, you think your dandruff problem has been solved. Some consumers think that dandruff is not a big problem, which affects the appearance at most, or is embarrassed occasionally, but it has nothing to do with health. In fact, these are all wrong views.

The root causes of dandruff and itching are abnormal scalp cells and impaired head skin health. Even occasional dandruff and itching indicate that the skin environment of the head is unhealthy. As long as this is not improved, dandruff will regenerate quickly. Scratching the head and itching will cause further damage to the hair and scalp, and as a result, the health of the scalp will continue to deteriorate, and the damage to the hair will be further aggravated. China Health Education Association Scalp Health Research Center believes that the gold standard of healthy hair should be no dandruff, no itching and excessive hair oil secretion.

Effective dandruff removal, right or wrong?

In today's shampoo market, although the products advertised as anti-dandruff are dazzling, in fact, anti-dandruff products do not need to pass any authoritative testing and certification on anti-dandruff efficacy before entering the market. At present, many anti-dandruff shampoos on the domestic market do not contain really effective anti-dandruff ingredients.

From a scientific point of view, dandruff is a common phenomenon that occurs in the whole head, and it is a large number of immature cells on the scalp. The head skin is always undergoing natural metabolism (usually 28 days as a cycle), during which the scalp constantly updates its surface layer, which is called metabolism. Under normal circumstances, the exfoliated scalp epidermal cells are detached alone and cannot be seen by naked eyes. Once the metabolism is out of control, a large number of epidermal cells will fall off, which will cause dandruff; It is generally believed that the fungus Pityrosporum ovale on the scalp is the main cause of dandruff.

Some dandruff shampoo products just wash off the falling dandruff. A good dandruff shampoo product must contain safe and effective ingredients to remove dandruff and inhibit dandruff regeneration. For example, the crystalline active anti-dandruff factor of the third-generation ZPT tablets patented by Head & Shoulders is an internationally recognized effective anti-dandruff and antipruritic ingredient, and its effectiveness and safety have been recognized and proved by the FDA of the US Food and Drug Administration. It can effectively act on the scalp, reduce the pathogenic microorganism-pityrosporum to the normal level, and help scalp cells recover to a healthy state, thus fundamentally solving the problem and inhibiting the regrowth of dandruff.

At the same time, excellent anti-dandruff shampoo products should also be mild in nature and suitable for daily use. Consumers with dandruff should choose dandruff shampoo suitable for their hair quality according to their own situation and insist on using it regularly. Only in this way can the dandruff-removing components continue to play their role, keeping the fungi on the head skin at a normal level, thus giving the hair a healthy and stable growth environment.

Professional nursing comes from life.

Good cleaning and eating habits are "compulsory courses" for having perfect hairless hair. Therefore, consumers who are troubled by dandruff should pay attention to the following points in their daily lives:

○ Choose high-quality dandruff shampoo with effective dandruff ingredients and stick to it.

Wash your hair every day to keep your hair and scalp clean.

○ Don't perm, dye your hair or scratch your scalp.

Eat more alkaline foods rich in vitamins B2 and B6, such as milk, vegetables, fruits and seaweed. And avoid too much acidic food.

○ Try to avoid fried foods and sweets, and avoid spicy and irritating foods.

○ Massage the head skin with anti-dandruff shampoo when shampooing, accelerate blood circulation, help to relax the head skin and improve the nutritional absorption of hair.

○ Maintain a good mental state and avoid excessive fatigue and anxiety.

What do you know about dandruff?

1. How is dandruff produced?

Dandruff is basically caused by scalp cells in an "unhealthy" state.

Under normal circumstances, the renewal cycle of human scalp cells is 28 days. When this renewal cycle is obviously accelerated (it can be shortened to 7 days), a large number of scalp cells that are accelerated to fall off stick together to form dandruff visible to the naked eye, and the scalp cells that are accelerated to fall off are themselves in an abnormal keratinization state.

A large number of scientific studies show that the production of dandruff is directly related to the number of dandruff spores. Cladosporium is a fungus that lives on the skin of the head and can directly cause dandruff and itching. When the number of dermatophytes is within the normal range, the keratinization of epidermal cells in the head skin is also in the normal metabolic process. However, when Cladosporium proliferates. Abnormal increase, the metabolic rate of epidermal cells in the head skin is obviously accelerated, thus forming dandruff.

2. Is dandruff a skin disease?

The problem of dandruff is worthy of attention from the point of view of hairdressing, but generally speaking, it is not a skin disease, there is no obvious inflammation, and sometimes it feels itchy. However, if you have a very serious dandruff problem, you should consult a doctor in time.

3. Can dandruff be inherited?

It's possible.

People with dandruff may or may not pass it on to the next generation, depending on other factors, such as nutrition, physique, environment and long-term physical injury.

4. Is dandruff contagious?

number

Because dandruff is not a disease, ordinary contact between people will not cause cross-infection problems.

5. Is seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff the same thing?

It's different.

Seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff are essentially different. Only when the dandruff problem is serious can it be accompanied by seborrheic dermatitis. In other words, excessive dandruff is a symptom of mild seborrheic dermatitis, which should be called seborrheic disease, and it is a pathological dandruff problem, so you should seek medical attention in time. The scalp of patients with oily seborrhea is greasy and shiny, often covered with yellow greasy scales, which will stick together; The scalp of patients with xeroderma has diffuse, gray and slightly greasy chaff scales, often accompanied by itching. When you grasp it with your hands, dandruff will fall like snowflakes.

6. Is the amount of dandruff related to age and sex?

Dandruff is not common in the elderly and children, and about 60% of adults will suffer from dandruff to some extent. Because the metabolism of the first two will be slower than that of adolescent young people.

Generally speaking, men are more prone to dandruff than women. Because men ignore head hygiene more than women, and men's endocrine is stronger than women's.

7. Why is dandruff more common in China?

In Asian countries, especially China, dandruff is more common than in Europe and America. In China, more than 60% of adults have dandruff problems at some point. Bad shampoo habits and neglect of scalp care are one of the reasons for this.

Dandruff troubles will become history.

China Health Education Association officially announced the establishment of a scalp health research center. As a branch of China Health Education Association, Scalp Health Research Center aims to arouse more attention of the whole society to scalp health and promote scientific research and health education of scalp health, dandruff removal and hair care in China.

It is found that in China, 60% of adults have dandruff in different degrees, and dandruff is more common than in Europe and America. This is mainly because consumers in China do not pay attention to the health care of the head and skin and have bad hygiene habits. At the same time, consumers in China lack knowledge of dandruff removal and hair care. In this context, the Scalp Health Research Center of China Health Education Association has gathered a number of authoritative experts at home and abroad with rich clinical experience and professional knowledge, covering dermatology, plastic surgery, microbial research and other fields, and has a laboratory network at home and abroad. After the establishment of the center, a series of scientific research on scalp health and dandruff removal will be carried out. Among them, the current situation of dandruff problem among consumers in China and the investigation on dandruff efficacy of dandruff shampoo in China market will be two important research projects in the near future.

With the further improvement of people's health awareness, it is becoming common sense to pay more attention to themselves and cultivate good health habits. The scalp health research center disseminates and popularizes the knowledge of hair care and head skin care by scientific means, which is a supplement to health education and health promotion in China and will play a positive role in promoting the level of health education in China and the whole people.
