1, rootstock selection
In the method of grafting longevity flowers on Yushu, it is necessary to choose the stout Yushu as the rootstock, and each branch on Yushu only needs to keep the length of 10 cm, and then cut off all the excess lengths. When pruning, make sure that the incision is V-shaped, which is convenient for grafting.
2. Cutting treatment
After the Yushu treatment is completed, the robust branches of the longevity flower should be selected for oblique cutting, and the oblique cutting angle should be consistent with the Yushu incision to increase the survival rate. The branches of longevity flowers should be inserted in the incision of Yushu, and the fewer gaps in the middle, the better.
Step 3 apply nutrient solution
After grafting is completed, it is necessary to apply a layer of nutrient solution to the grafting site to promote wound healing. Then, tie the joints tightly with string or plastic bags to make them closely connected, which can help the plants adapt to the surrounding environment more quickly.
4, grafting maintenance
After grafting Yushu, it is best to ensure that the surrounding environment is in a dry and cool state, and it is best not to be illuminated. After waiting for 1 ~ 2 weeks, the wound has completely healed. At this time, the plastic bag or rope can be removed. If Yushu and Changshou flowers do not wither after 20 days, the grafting has been successful.
