How to grow the newly purchased Clivia seedlings

1. Soil selection: Clivia seedlings should be cultivated in loose soil. 2. Water and fertilize: Water the seedlings frequently to ensure adequate moisture, and apply low-concentration fertilizer. 3. Breeding management: Clivia seedlings need to be protected from light and maintained at controlled temperature. 4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases: When plants are infected with leaf spot, they need to be sprayed with carbendazim, and then increased application of potassium fertilizer to avoid exposure to rain.

How to cultivate Clivia seedlings

1. Soil selection

The growth of Clivia seedlings has very high requirements on soil. The pot soil should not be too strong, and the plants need to have good air permeability. For soil, you can mix leaf mold soil with garden soil and stir evenly. In order to remove impurities, pathogens, etc. in the soil, the soil needs to be disinfected at high temperature before cultivation to reduce the probability of seedlings getting sick later.

2. Water and fertilize

During the growth process of Clivia seedlings, water frequently, observe more, and pinch the soil with your hands to avoid drying out or water accumulation in the pot soil. You can spray water on the leaves of Clivia through a watering can. Do not apply top-dressing fertilizer during the seedling stage. Just apply low-concentration foliar fertilizer appropriately.

3. Breeding management

Clivia seedlings are suitable for growing in a cool and humid environment. During normal breeding, the seedlings should be placed in a dark or astigmatic place. In summer, the soil temperature is high and the plant roots are easy to grow. Disorder, uneven absorption of nutrients, affecting the growth of seedlings, requiring heat dissipation treatment, and the suitable temperature for Clivia seedlings is between 15 and 30 degrees, and they need to keep warm and get more sun in winter.

4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

Clivia seedlings are susceptible to leaf spot disease when they grow weak. When sick, small brown spots will appear on the edges of the leaves. After the spots dry up, small black granular spots will appear. In order to prevent the plants from being infected with diseases, fertilize with an appropriate amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. If the Clivia seedlings are already infected, you need to spray carbendazim every one to two weeks.
