What should we pay special attention to when the injection mold is deformed?
1. For symmetrical injection mold, the deformation trend can be considered according to the cavity size, contour size and height. When the die wall is thin and the height is small, it is easier to harden, or it may be that the tissue stress plays a major role, so the cavity is easy to swell. On the other hand, if the wall thickness and height are large, it is not easy to be hardened, which may be the main function of thermal stress, so the cavity tends to shrink.

2. The deformation of asymmetric injection mold is also the result of the comprehensive action of thermal stress and organizational stress. For example, the thin-walled die has thin edges, because the die wall is thin and the temperature difference between inside and outside is small during quenching, so the thermal stress is small; However, it is easy to harden and the tissue stress is large, so deformation is easy to swell the cavity.

3. In order to reduce the deformation of the injection mold, the heat treatment department should work with the mold design department to study and improve the mold design, such as avoiding the mold structure with different cross-sectional dimensions, striving for a symmetrical mold shape, and adopting the assembly structure for complex molds.

4. When the shape of SINO injection mold cannot be changed, some other measures can be taken to reduce the deformation. The overall consideration of these measures is to improve the cooling conditions so that all parts can be cooled evenly; In addition, various compulsory measures can be assisted to limit the quenching deformation of parts.
