East China Sea

Fujian is located on the coast of the East China Sea and belongs to the East China or South China region of China. Fujian is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in China, with 10.88 million Fujianese overseas Chinese living around the world. Among them, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia have the largest number of overseas Chinese from Fujian. Fujian and Taiwan have a long history and have the closest relationship. 80% of Taiwanese compatriots are originally from Fujian. Fujian is located at the transportation hub of the East China Sea and the South China Sea. It is one of the provinces in China closest to Southeast Asia, West Asia, East Africa and Oceania.
