Operation process of labial frenulum lengthening
Lengthening the labial frenulum is to make a V-shaped incision on both sides of labial frenum by surgery, and suture the oral mucosa and the alveolar bone side wound contraposition, and finally form a new labial frenum with normal length. The specific operation steps are as follows:

1. In the case of local infiltration anesthesia, open your lips.

2. Clamp the basal attachment at both ends of the frenulum with tweezers or needle-holding pliers, and cut the attachment in a V-shape on both sides of the frenulum (the alveolar bone side reaches the superficial periosteum).

3. V-Y suture should be done in light cases, and Z plasty should be done in heavy cases to prolong lacing. When all the frenulum tissues were removed, the wounds of oral and labial mucosa and alveolar bone formed rhomboids.

4. Trim and align the mucosa at the edge of the wound, and align the suture vertically and straight. After suture, add a little iodoform sand strip between alveolar bone and upper lip.
