1, sowing date: February-March is the most suitable sowing date. First, the 3-inch-wide soil along the mulberry line is fully broken and watered, and then mulberry seeds are planted along the mulberry line. The sowing amount is 2-3 Liang per mu (3-6 grains per 3 inches), the seeds are thinly covered with a layer of mud powder, and finally covered with grass and watered. Intercropping cash crops such as soybeans, peanuts and vegetables between rows (don't be too close to mulberry seedlings). Intercropping crops can be planted at the same time or in advance, so that it can be harvested in May without affecting the growth of mulberry trees.
2. Planting: the cultivation period is from defoliation in late autumn to germination in the following spring. Level the land, dig a ditch 50 cm deep according to the plant spacing, and apply soil miscellaneous fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer. Mulberry seedlings should be purchased separately in size, fruit trees and pollinated trees should be arranged reasonably, and root water should be poured after planting.
3. Pruning: Generally, the planted seedlings will be pruned and aired at a height of 25 cm. After germination, each plant can send 5-6 new buds. When the new shoots grow to 15-20cm, coring can promote lateral branches and increase the crown (if there are too few branches at one time, coring can be repeated for 2-3 times to ensure that the mother branches are picked in 10- 15, which is the key to ensure high yield in the next year. But the white jade king is too weak to adopt a heart. Mulberries were harvested at the end of May or the beginning of June of the following year, and pruned and shaped in summer. All fruiting mother branches are set aside with a shortcut of 2-3 buds to promote the germination of new buds as the fruiting mother branches in the second year. Cutting time should be sooner rather than later to ensure sufficient time for the growth of new buds and accumulate nutrition for flower bud differentiation. Every year after the mulberry harvest, take shortcuts and gradually form strips with low stems and branches. When pruning in winter, all weak branches and saprophytic branches germinated in summer should be cut off from the base, and the remaining fruits and mother branches should be shortened appropriately. Generally, the part with insufficient growth of 15-20cm at the top of the branch is cut off.
4. Water and fertilizer management: the water demand period of mulberry is mainly the spring germination period and summer germination period after cutting. If there is drought during these two periods, it is necessary to replenish water in time if conditions permit. Every winter, a ditch with a depth of 20 cm should be opened in the middle of the planting line for fertilization. After pruning in summer, apply 50 kg carbomer or 20 kg urea per mu; Spraying 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution at the initial flowering stage and young fruit stage (spraying on both sides of leaves, the absorption rate of dicotyledonous leaves is 5 times) to increase the sugar content of fruits, promote early maturity, and make mulberry fruits big, bright, stable and increase production.
