The Implementation Plan for High-quality Development of New Energy Equipment Manufacturing Industry in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region clearly puts Hohhot, Baotou, Erdos and Wuhai as key cities.

It was learned from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that 27,850 new energy vehicles were promoted and applied in the whole region, up by 27.9% year-on-year. Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has successively issued a number of policy documents, such as "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles", which have been deployed from the aspects of increasing the promotion of key areas, accelerating the construction of charging and replacing infrastructure, and promoting the development of new energy vehicle industry, and continuously increasing the promotion and application of new energy vehicles.

In April 2023, the Housing and Construction Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region formulated six policies and measures to promote the construction of charging facilities for new energy vehicles in cities and towns, and made arrangements for the construction of charging facilities for new energy vehicles in cities and towns. Hohhot, Baotou, Chifeng and Ordos are listed as areas to accelerate the development of charging facilities, and 20,000 public charging piles will be built in 2023.

Among them, there are 8,000 people in Hohhot, 5,000 people in Baotou and Ordos, and 2,000 people in Chifeng. Other cities are advancing in an orderly manner according to the principle of "moderate advancement, balanced layout, intelligence and high efficiency".

While accelerating the popularization and application of new energy vehicles, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is also striving to promote the development of new energy vehicle industry. Focus on the layout of new energy vehicle manufacturing and supporting industrial projects, and build a whole industrial chain of new energy vehicles covering power batteries, motors, electronic control systems, powertrains, supporting parts and vehicle R&D and production. By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the production capacity of new energy vehicles will reach 654.38+million, and the capacity utilization rate will reach over 50%.

1, wind power generation equipment. Accelerate the upgrading of existing production capacity, optimize product structure, and improve the capacity utilization rate of the whole machine. Moderately develop wind power machine manufacturing, focusing on the development of blades, generators, speed increasers, hubs, spindles, stators and rotors, flanges, bearings, control systems and other core supporting components, improve the supporting capacity in the field of components, and strive to build a whole industrial chain base for wind power equipment manufacturing.

2. Photovoltaic power generation equipment. Relying on the advantages of photovoltaic materials industry, encourage polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon enterprises to extend the industrial chain and develop downstream batteries and battery components. Actively introduce photovoltaic glass, backboard, EVA film, inverter and other projects, build the whole industrial chain of photovoltaic manufacturing, fill the gap of photovoltaic equipment and supporting industries, and strive to form the manufacturing capacity of photovoltaic equipment that matches the installed capacity of new energy.

3. Hydrogen energy equipment. Seize the strategic opportunity of the hydrogen energy industry entering the critical point of marketization, rely on rich energy resources and hydrogen energy application scenarios, strengthen the technological innovation of hydrogen energy equipment, and focus on developing equipment manufacturing industries such as electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment, industrial by-product hydrogen purification equipment, hydrogen energy storage and transportation equipment, hydrogen fuel cells, and realize new breakthroughs in hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing.

4. Energy storage equipment. Relying on lithium-ion battery anode and cathode materials, graphite electrodes, diaphragms and other industrial bases, we will focus on developing the manufacturing of energy storage batteries and energy storage control systems, and cultivate and develop supporting industries to meet the regional energy storage demand to the maximum extent. Introduce enterprises that master core technologies, and encourage the development of advanced equipment manufacturing industries such as advanced electrochemical energy storage, compressed air energy storage, flywheel energy storage, electromagnetic energy storage, heat storage and energy storage equipment and intelligent control systems.
