How to maintain cypress bonsai
1, protect the environment. The cypress bonsai is best placed in a sunny and humid place. In winter, we should put it indoors for the winter. In summer, if the sun is strong, you must pay attention to shading to avoid burning leaves in the scorching sun.

2, watering point. It is best to keep enough water in cypress bonsai, but don't accumulate water to avoid root rot. Spray water on branches and leaves often at ordinary times, which can promote healthy growth and turn leaves green. Cypress likes the sun to be high and dry, and it is not resistant to water and humidity. Therefore, it is necessary to water the basin soil according to the degree of wetness, water it when it is dry, and spray more water on the leaves.

3. Fertilization method. Cypress bonsai is generally made of thin and decomposed organic fertilizer or cake fertilizer, which is applied 2-3 times a year from March to May, and some decomposed cake fertilizer scraps can be put in the basin in autumn. Potted cypress trees should be fertilized more if they want to grow vigorously.

4. Prune and pick the buds properly. Cedar is not resistant to pruning, but it can cut off the top to promote the growth of lateral branches. Generally, when new branches and leaves germinate in spring, they should be pruned in time to keep the crown dense. Shoots should not be cut off with scissors, but picked with fingers to prevent the wound from rusting and affecting the appearance. If it is necessary to repair the big branches, it should be done during the dormant period.

5. Turn the washbasin over. Generally, the cypress bonsai should be turned once every two to three years, in March and April in spring, or in autumn. Trim the roots properly when turning the pot, remove the old soil, replace it with fertile and loose humus soil, and add appropriate amount of rice husk ash, namely carbonized rice husk ash (black) and sand.

6, pest control. The main disease of cypress bonsai is rust, and the pests are mainly spiders, which are quite serious. We should pay attention to timely prevention and control. Appropriate drugs must be used.
