This family belongs to Liliaceae, and the tiger's eye is evergreen.
Morphology and distribution of perennial herbs. Oval light green bulb. Strip leaves, 30-60 cm long, thick and soft, light green. Racemes 15-30 cm, triangular to cylindrical, dozens of small flowers, stout pedicels, up to 100 cm, white flowers with green ridges in the middle, flowering in winter and spring. Originated in South Africa, it has been introduced and cultivated in various places. Other main cultivated varieties belong to the same genus: Arabian tiger eye evergreen and umbrella tiger eye evergreen.
Habitual preference for warm and humid climate, tolerance to semi-shade, avoiding direct sunlight in summer, not cold-resistant.
Propagation by splitting plants or sowing seeds, or using small bulbs.
Hydroponics management ① Selection of containers: The pots can be ordinary plastic pots or traditional woven pots decorated with bamboo and rattan. Clean the roots and put them into the pot, which will block beautiful substrates, such as ornamental bark and ceramsite. (2) Nutrient solution and management: the nutrient solution of foliage plants is maintained at the concentration of 1/4- 1/2, and the pH is pH5.5-6.8. During the growing period, the nutrient solution should be replaced every 15-20 days. The residual pedicels should be removed in time after flowering, and the lowest temperature in winter should not be lower than 7℃. Not less than 4 hours of light every day. Spray water on the leaves in summer to keep the substrate moist.
