Xu Jiuling (1907— 1928) is a native of Kangqiao Village, Kangqiao Township, yanliang district. Pioneer of Shaanxi women's revolution. 1On June 7th, 928, nine members including Xu Jiuling were secretly killed in Anhongmiaopo.

Qu Tutong (to be tested in 557 ~ 628 AD), a native of Chang 'an (now Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province), a minority, was a general in the late Sui and early Tang Dynasties, and was one of the twenty-four heroes of Lingyange. Qu Tutong, formerly known as Kumohi, lived in Changli (now Chaoyang, Liaoning) and later in Chang 'an. His father, Qu Tu Changqing, was the secretariat of Qiongzhou (now Qionglai, Sichuan) in the Northern Zhou Dynasty. Qu Tutong is "resolute, loyal, upright, good at martial arts and riding and shooting."
