Bushido originated from the Kamakura shogunate in Japan and was formed by absorbing the thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in the Edo period. At first, it advocated loyalty, faith, honesty, martial arts and reputation. But Bushido, as a political product of the feudal shogunate era, absorbed some superficial things of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism rather than its real meaning. What can't satisfy Bushido in Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism is entirely provided by the inherent Shinto of the Japanese nation. Shinto is based on distinguishing right from wrong. Therefore, Bushido easily leads to extreme duality in personality: self-madness, inferiority; Believe in Buddhism and kill; Pay attention to etiquette, brutal and cruel; Pursuing science and persisting in superstition; Bullying the weak and obeying the strong, and so on.
In this cultural tradition, war maniacs are the norm.
