College is the national training base for skilled talents in the field of "automobile application engineering" and the first demonstration base of bar code laboratory in colleges and universities in China. In June, 2007, after the evaluation of Tianjin Education Commission and Finance Bureau, the college was identified as the first batch of "Tianjin Demonstration Vocational College Construction Project".
