How to prune vines in summer
1. Pruning method of "1, 3, 6, 9 ~ 12" The meaning of this pruning method is to leave 3 fruiting branches, 6 fruiting mother branches and 9 ~ 12 buds on every 1-meter-long dragon vine on the trellis surface. The long spreading tip of the dragon generally stays in the middle and long tip, which is retracted every year, and an extended tip is selected from the back. In garden cultivation, there are generally a little more buds, but not more than 15 buds, that is, "1, 3, 6, 9 ~ 15". Second, the "1, 2, 1" pruning method is suitable for longan, milk and other varieties. Horizontal scaffolding, single dragon stem shaping, hole spacing of 1 ~ 1.5 meters, 2 ~ 3 plants per hole, one dragon vine every 5 ~ 6 cm on the shelf surface, and the single branch is alternately updated. The meaning of this method is that two short tips (1 ~ 2 knots) and one middle tip are left in every 1 meter of long vines on the scaffolding surface, and the long tips of the dragons are pruned with long tips. There are two dragonflies on every 1 meter wide shelf, which is equivalent to 14 ~ 2 buds per square meter, which is equivalent to 12, ~ 18, buds per hectare. In semi-arid areas, the sunlight is sufficient, the grape branches are not easy to grow in vain, the pruning in summer is strictly controlled, and the flower buds at the base buds are often well differentiated. Generally, each ear weighs more than .5 kg, so the yield per hectare can be guaranteed to be 3 thousand ~ 37.5 thousand kg. This pruning method is more suitable for young fruit trees. Third, the pruning of trees in full fruit period generally refers to trees that are 13 ~ 4 years old. The fruit yield of trees in this period is increasing year by year, and the vegetative growth is gradually weakening. If it is not managed properly, it is easy to have years. Therefore, the main task of pruning is to adjust the relationship between growth and fruiting, improve lighting conditions, maintain tree vigor and obtain high and stable yield. 4. Pruning of trees in the aging period Trees that are 3 to 4 years old have entered the aging period. The main task of pruning is to renew and rejuvenate, restore tree vigor, prolong the fruiting period as much as possible, and maintain a good yield. In specific operation, the main and lateral branches should be properly retracted and raised according to their weakness. If the central branch group has declined, it should be sawed off from the base to change the crown into a happy shape, but the wound should be protected to prevent rot. For aging trees, we should make full use of the long branches to cultivate new fruiting branches, at the same time, renew and rejuvenate the original branches, and properly remove the over-dense flower buds to ensure the vigorous growth of branches. 5. Re-cutting before flowering in the budding stage From mid-March to early April, for trees with few flowers, more branches are left in winter cutting because the flower buds are not recognized. When the flower buds can be clearly identified, the redundant branches without flowers are properly thinned or retracted to make the inner chamber fully illuminated. For trees with poor varieties, high grafting can be carried out from the beginning of sap flow.
