The First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University is one of the largest comprehensive third-class first-class hospitals in Fujian Province, which integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research and has a high concentration of professional and technical personnel.

The hospital was founded in 1937, and was awarded as "baby-friendly hospital" by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization in 1993. In 1995, it was awarded as the first batch of "third-class first-class hospitals" in Fujian Province by the Ministry of Health, and became the first clinical medical college of Fujian Medical University in 200 1 year.
